A two year old bulldog is being hailed as a super dog hero after saving four kittens from drowning in a lake in mid Michigan.

His owner was at first upset with Napoleon after he abruptly bolted across a street and into the lake only to retrieve a bag.

Alexandra Breuer thought he was just grabbing a sac of garbage but then heard the meows coming from inside.

Turns out there were six kittens in the bag and someone was evidently trying to kill them. Two of kittens didn't make it but the other four will always have Napoleon, the super dog, to thank.
