JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- About a dozen Jacksonville police
detectives and forensic investigators are continuing the
painstaking task of searching for clues that will lead to the
identity of skeletal remains.
A skull was found Wednesday in the woods on the far western side
of Jacksonville near Baldwin by a crew spraying vegetation.
Police said Thursday the remains are likely that of an adult
male. The investigation will continue Friday with a forensic
pathologist being called to the scene.
Jacksonville police Sgt. Mike Perry says police found other
bones and some clothing, but it was unclear if a full skeleton is
present.
Perry says investigators will continue searching the area using
a grid-like pattern.
Police don't know when the death occurred, but they do suspect
foul play.
