Event & 2nd MLK Humanitarian Walk of FaithExport (iCal)Description: The 2nd Annual MLK Humanitarian Walk of Faith, hosted by Restoration Tabernacle Health Ministry will begin at 9 AM, Saturday, January 14th, 2012. It is a two mile walk through the historic district of Thomasville beginning at 1002 N. Broad St. This event is designed to promote unity in the community, promote youth and adults to be humanitarians, combat childhood obesity, educate community on historic houses of worship, and commemorate the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The event celebrates local humanitarians selected by nominations. The grand marshal of this year's event is last year's Humanitarian Award Winner, James Jack Hadley. For more information and walk application visit www.walkoffaith2012.yolasite.com. Youth ages 14 and younger may walk free with an adult. Participants 15 and older may register with a $12 fee by Jan. 8th. Late fee is $15.
