Enroll for Magnet School Programs

Is your child gifted in the arts? Or maybe you have the next Albert Einstein on your hands. Whatever their interest, there may be a relevant magnet program.
Leon Count Schools are now enrolling students for the "Choice" program. You'll have to apply soon though. The deadline is March 1st. School administrators say magnet programs are great alternatives to traditional curriculums.
"We allow these students to get hands on projects and get engaged in projects because we integrate whatever that interest is. If it's technology or math, we integrate that through their whole program," said Leon County Schools' Assistant Superintendent Barbara Wills.
To name a few, Leon County offers programs specializing in interests like the arts, sciences and information technology.
