Opening the box my car was immediately filled with the smell of slowly smoked pork. A large sesame seed covered bun topped a large helping of pull pork. To the back scoops of coleslaw and potato salad completed the meal.

Zacadoo’s was good. The food was fresh and the service was quick and friendly. Sometimes the only option is fast food, and it was nice being able to hit a local business rather than one of the national franchises. If you’re on Apalachee Parkway, and have a craving for a quick meal, Zacadoo’s is a decent option.

Lunch at the Sheik was fast and affordable. The service was very friendly and restaurant, including the tables, were very clean. I would stop in at the Sheik the next time I am in that part of Orange Park, and may even give the curiously named Camel Rider a try.

My lunch at Sakura was very good. The service was attentive and polite. The restaurant was clean and most importantly the fish served within my rolls was fresh.

My last attempt at finding a local restaurant in Ocala, Florida, was a disaster. Passing several national chains I made my way along SW College Road in search of the Royal Orchid.

Unwrapping the sandwich the microwave's ding rand in my ear. How could they nuke beef tips? My expectations plummeted and I took a bite. To my surprise rather than being tough and rubbery the beef tips were tender.

Over the past couple weeks I-75 has become a second home. On my frequent trips between Tallahassee and Orlando I try to avoid chains. Instead I attempt to seek out local places for a quick lunch or dinner. While pumping gas in Ocala I saw a sign for 484 New York Pizza.

Due to a morning appointment I found myself on the East Side of Tallahassee in need of some breakfast. I decided to check out Catalina Cafe. It is located in a plaza on Capital Circle SE across the street from Sonny's and Sam's Club.

I approached the shaded patio located on the backside of a building that faced Colonial Drive. Wisp of blue gray smoke curled above several lounging men who smoked cigarettes. I asked if they knew where Nha Trang was located. They shook their heads and indicated they did not speak English.
