This recipe is great for sleep-over guests. We make full-plate-size pancakes, and then decorate them to look like a person, aka “Mr. Breakfast.” My nephews and niece love Mr. Breakfast! For a full home-made, short-order breakfast, just add bacon and eggs!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Start-to-Finish Time: 20 minutes
Makes: 4-6 large full-plate-sized pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
Optional Additions to the Pancakes: fresh blueberries or chocolate chips
Decorations for the Face of Mr. Breakfast: whipped cream, fresh fruit, M&Ms, chocolate chips. Be creative with your decorations!
RECIPE
Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Grease the skillet with cooking spray, butter, vegetable oil, or shortening. (Griddle surface is ready when a few drops of water sprinkled on it dance and disappear.)
Stir all ingredients until blended. Pour to cover the surface of the skillet.
Cook until edges are dry. Turn; cook until golden.
Decorate face of “Mr. Breakfast”! Be creative and have fun!
