Low Country Boil Recipe from Park Ranger David Moody.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Gallons Water
2 medium yellow onions quartered
4 cloves of garlic, rough chopped
2 lemons quartered
1/2 cup chopped celery
3 bay leaves
4 TBS liquid crab boil
3/4 cup salt
2 TSP cayenne pepper
3 pounds fresh shrimp
3 pounds pork link smoked sausage
3 pounds new potatoes
20/ half ears of corn
1) Combine first nine ingredients in a 3 gallon pot, bring to a boil, simmer for 20 minutes
2) Bring seasoned water up to a rapid boil, add potatoes, cook 10-15 minutes or until soft
3) Add sausage when potatoes are boiling
4) Add corn, boil 3 minutes
5) Add shrimp, boil 2 minutes
6) cut off heat and let soak 30 minutes
