Miss Boo's Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 bottle lemon extract
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tbs baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • cup milk

    Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs. Fold in lemon extract.

    Sift together other dry ingredients.

    Add dry ingredients alternatively with milk to mixture.

    Cream batter until smooth

    Grease and flour round cake pan.

    Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Brown extra 15 minutes if desired.
