Celebrity Chef: Apple Crunch

4 to 5 tart apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup oatmeal
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Peel and slice 4-5 tart apples, and arrange in a baking dish. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of sugar, one tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Cream 1/2 cup of butter, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup of oatmeal, and 1/2 cup flour. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake for 40 minutes at 325 degrees, until the apples are soft and the topping is slightly browned.

Serve cold with whipped cream, or warm with ice cream, as a dessert.
Serve warm with roast pork, ham, or cold turkey.
