The fall is a busy season for FSU head soccer coach Mark Krikorian. If it's not his nationally recognized soccer team he has to prepare for an upcoming match, it's now his year long soccer academy, Project 4.0.
FSU Head Soccer Coach Mark Krikorian says,
"I think the people in the community recognize that there are a lot of different ways to learn in the game and we want to give kids that have this interest and really develop them and have an opportunity to play at the highest level that they can. An opportunity to see how different experiences can help them."
Every Tuesday throughout the academic calendar, campers gather at the seminole soccer complex and are taught the game by Coach Krikorian, his staff, as well as member of the FSU soccer team and coaches from around the area.
Coach Krikorian adds,
"It's about excellence on the soccer field, excellence in the classroom, and excellence in the community."
The first session is only a week underway and Coach K already feels like he has made the academy a success.
Mark Krikorian adds,
"We've limited the enrollment to forty and we have a tremendous waiting line, waiting list to get in but we have our forty kids here and give them some pretty good training."
