With the best high school football talent from both sides on the border putting together a game plan seems simple enough, just let the stars do their thing right, guess again.
Colquitt County head football coach Rush Propst says,
"Putting together an All Star team is no easy task. It's very difficult to do."
But it doesn't mean it can't be done.
"I thought the level of play was better today," Propst adds. "Like I said this was my sixth or seventh All Star game, I thought the level of play was pretty good today. A lot of big time players stepping up and making some plays."
Coaches are only given a hand full of practices to organize and strategize with players and coaches they spend the season going against.
Valdosta head football coach Rance Gillespie adds,
"It's a lot of fun. You play against those kids and you build respect for what they've done against you throughout the year and you get a chance to buddy up with them and team up with them and play a game with them."
Taylor County head football coach Shane Boggs adds,
"It's just a great experience for our players. I'm really pleased that we have this opportunity. It's neat to see the guys enjoy the relationships and I think it will be a great culmination."
Another season done but Florida will have to wait one more year to get back at Georgia, the Peach Stater's won in Valdosta and the two tied in Moultire.
