Heading into the season Eddie Barnes knew he had a tough road ahead of him. With only one returner to work with the early season has been a trial and error period, and has worked inthe Eagles favor.
TCC men's head basketball coach Eddie Barnes says,
"This is a team that had only one playerc oming back from last year's region finalist and has had a lot of growth and a lot of young people and a mixture of some transfers in so it's taken us a while but we're starting to grow together."
The young Eagles needed to grow, and grow quickly, so coach Barnes turned to the challenges that lie on the road.
In the early season TCC is (12-2) and ranked inside the top 5 of the FCCAA, with all but four of their wins coming outside the EagleDome.
Barnes adds,
"For us to have some growth we had to play some games on the road early to test ourselves and to find out who we are and who we can be."
The true test for coach Barnes and his team begins in January when the Eagles open panhandle conference play.
