The new look, fast paced, high tempo offense for FSU women's head basketball coach Sue Semrau was unleashed Sunday. The victim, Alabama-Huntsville. In the Seminoles first and only exhibition game of the preseason, the 'Noles light up the scoreboard with 122 points.
FSU women's head basketball coach Sue Semrau says,
"We have a lot of players that can make decisions, a lot of players that are so athletic that being in constant movement is natural for them. It's going to get better and better as the season goes along but for an opener I thought we saw some good things."
Three Seminoles finished with twenty or more points, but the leader of the tribe was freshman Natasha Howard. She finished with 24 points in only 19 minutes of play.
Sue Semrau adds,
"She really can do so many different things and not only was she scoring the basketball she was a great passer and seeing the post. I thought she passed up a lot of things. A very selfless player and still have 24 points for her was a really nice thing in her first game."
Coach Sue and the 'Noles will return to the court on November 12th when the stats and games count as they host Alabama State in the season opener.
