ATHENS, Ga. ---- Former Head Coach Bobby Bowden will be the featured speaker at the 2012 UGA SpringFootball clinic scheduled for Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30.

Held at the Butts-Mehre Building, the event will feature championship coaches from across the state including former UGA defensive lineman Donald Chumley, Savannah Christian High School, Class A State Champions; Hal Lamb, Calhoun High School, Class AA State Champions; Eric Parker, Burke Co. High School, Class AAA State Champions; Frank Stevens, Tucker High School, Class AAAA State Champions; Mickey Conn, Grayson High School, Class AAAAA State Champion.

Also highlighting the spring clinic will be standout UGA All-Americans David Greene and Jon Stinchcomb, the Georgia coaching staff and presentations by the Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson and Director of Nutrition Jen Ketterly.

Pre-registration fee is $45.00, while at the door it is $50.00. Fee includes all clinic lectures, gifts, a UGA drill DVD, athletic equipment displays, Thursday night hospitality and dinner as well as Friday FCA breakfast and box lunch. The clinic will also include two practice sessions on Woodruff Practice Field.

Bowden coached for the Florida State Seminoles from 1976 to 2009 where he led the team to a national title in 1993, BCS National Championship in 1999 and a total of 12 Atlantic Coastal Conference championships since FSU joined in 1991. Bowden, who also spent time coaching at Howard and West Virginia, is the father of three Division I head football coaches: Tommy Bowden, former head coach at Clemson University; Terry Bowden, former head coach at Auburn University and currently at the University of Akron, and Jeff Bowden, who also coached at Florida State.
