If you ever thought about adopting a child from foster care you probably thought the process was too long and invasive, or just too expensive.
But much has changed in the last few years.
Thanks to a class called mapp, just like a road map and in simple terms it maps out your life when you become a foster or adoptive parent, teaching you the skills necessary to be successful.
in addition to the class, there's also a home study and a background check.
So if you count the 10 weeks it takes to complete the mapp class, approximately 30 days for the home study and include the time that it may take to find the right child or sibling group, you could be a forever family in as little as 9 months.
