Founded almost 19 years ago Boys Town has cared for hundreds of foster children and teens; based on the premise that there is no such thing as a bad boy only a bad environment. Children from Boys Town talk about the difficulties they've faced before they joined Boys Town. In Boys Town they learned so much, they say, people there gave them chances after chances never gave up on them. Boys Town has changed their life for the better, they have found friends and a home there, for them it is the best place to be and they really appreciate it.
Lt. Gov. Bobby Brantley member of the Board of Directors tells us that some kids have gone through things that we can't even comprehend, but fortunately now they are in a loving environment at Boys Town. He knows that they have a model that actually helps kids and saves their lives.
The entire program is base around a family style setting helping to compensate for the fact that these children have no place to call home. After bouncing from foster home to foster home many have finally found hope there. A chance at normalcy and preparation for life, especially for those near their 18th birthday, Boys Town is a success because it arms these young adults with skills that will last them a lifetime.
