Forever Family - October 22, 2009

Karissa is, funny and cool and kind of quiet, until she gets to know somebody. Karissa is 16 years old she is in the nine grade and like your average teen Karissa has many interests. She collects pennies, she plays softball, and likes to do stuff like go to the beach and play around at the yard stuff like that. Unlike most teens, Karissa has been alone without a mom or dad or family for many years now. It has been almost 8 years since she has been in the system without having a permanency. It has been ruff it is hard to move because she needs to make new friends. Karissa needs a family a support system that would help her pursue her dreams. She wants to be a nurse she likes helping save people's lives and help around when they are sick. Like all kids in Florida's foster care system,Karissa can go to college for free. What she really needs is to have parents to be there for her. She would like a normal family, and to grow up and be a normal kid. She is looking for that connection that will last a lifetime a home and a Forever Family.
