Anna Johnson, Eyewitness News: Diamond tell me how old are you?
Diamond, looking for a Forever Family: I am 14 years old.
Anna: How did you get such a pretty name?
Diamond: My Mom she always said that she wanted a diamond and she named me Diamond.
Anna: and like a diamond, hidden at first before being polished, this little girl has worked her heart out in order to 'shine'...
Kendall Nash, Child Advocate: She kind of came out of her shell. She loves being with the other girls doing things with them and she doesn't let her disability getting in the way of that.
Diamond: I like to read and draw, reading, science social studies.
Anna: You make good grades?
Diamond:Yes.
Anna: What are they.
Diamond: A and Bs.
Anna: Awesome!
Diamond: I want to be a scientist, that study disease. And I also what to help other people.
Kendall: She is also learning to be very independent with her condition and learn how to work with it.
Anna: Do you ever have to cook?
Diamond: Yes.
Anna: What do you like to cook?
Diamond: Basically anything they asked me to.
Kendall: I have learned a lot from Diamond. I am encouraged by her when I see her struggle with anything she just continues persevere and does it every day.
Kendall: It takes special people to do that kind of thing, to take that child in and make them part of the family.
Anna: And then too like precious stones such parents may be hard to find, but we believe they're out there somewhere watching this Forever Family segment.
Diamond: I would like a parent that cares about me, and love me for who I am
