Every bench on Broad Street is festooned with a golden bow - or two, or three.
Thomasville's Gold Bow Campaign kicked off this month...its goal is to build awareness of Childhood Cancer.
Each bow was purchased in honor of a child who lost their life to cancer, or is currently waging a battle against it.
The idea was created by the Johnsons, a local family that wants to draw attention to the prevalence of the disease. The Johnsons' daughter, Julia, is currently battling leukemia.
The bows cost $10 each and will be sold through September in downtown Thomasville. All proceeds from the gold bows are donated to Cure Research Foundation.
