The Salvation Army has teamed up with the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council to give rent and utility assistance to those who qualify.
The program, which is funded by the Federal Stimulus Package, will help those who cannot quite make ends meet.
The Action Council will be hosting a hotline tomorrow, 9-30, specifically for Colquitt County residents interested in applying for assistance.
Members of the Action Council say applications will only be accepted through the hotline, not in Salvation Army stores.
Action Council members stress the importance of being persistent if you cannot get through to the hotline the first time.
Residents in participating counties can call the Salvation Army Hotline whenever they desire; however, tomorrow is specifically for Colquitt County residents' requests.
