This morning, kids rushed to car doors collecting coins to buy food for people in Africa. The school-wide project will go on throughout the school year. By 2008, students hope to have plenty of money to buy herds of cows, pigs, and more for people in Africa.
One student, Asia Dabis said, "At first, I wasn't so sure, but my Mom told me that it would be good to help someone else from a different country that was in need. So I decided to help."
"Change" for Africa at Fairview Middle works with Heifer International, a non-profit organization that gives livestock and training to people in need around the world.
