So Chaires Elementary School made a project out of Veteran's Day today. Their celebration included patriotic songs, all recorded on camera to send to the service men and women over seas.

Marine Mark Jones joined the celebration and he will be going to Iraq in February. Chaires Elementary says today's celebration will impact both the children and soldiers.

Joanne McBrearty, Assistant Principal says, "We have to let the troops know that we support them and it's never too early to start our children learning about what it means to be an American."

Chaires Elementary has about seven-hundred 75 students. And each classroom sent personal letters out to the troops.
