Cunningham was fatally wounded last Thursday when he was gunned down at Berkshire Manor Apartments. Now friends and family only want to remember the best times with Hugh. At tonight's candlelight vigil at FAMU's Eternal Flame FAMU staff, including President James Ammons, friends, and family shared their thoughts and best memories of Hugh.

Darlene Cunningham, Hugh's Mother says, "And then as he got older, he began to like, tear things apart, put them back together. I mean, things that I couldn't fix. And, he just was so different."

Fellow students have started a foundation for money to be donated towards a college scholarship in memory of Hugh Cunningham, who died at age 21. Hugh Cunningham Senior, the father, also came up at one point and told everyone who came, that he didn't know how many people's lives were affected by his son.
