FAMU HIV/AIDS Candlelight Vigil

The vigil was put on by the community and FAMU students. The Leon County Health Department says about three hundred and 52 people showed up tonight. One student brought statistics from Leon County saying HIV/AIDS is the leading cause of death for African Americans ages 25 to 44.

Keith Rodgers with Black on Black Rhyme at FAMU said, "They can pass on information, pass on some of the stats or making them just aware of it, they might be one less person with it in the future."

More events will be going on for World AIDS Day, including an FSU march to the Capitol at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Anyone wanting to participate should show up to Wescott just before ten.
