The officers pulled in at the Children's Home Society and wheeled in a few cart loads of presents. These presents are on the wish lists of some of the many children involved with the Home Society. Thirty-five children's names were given to Tallahassee Police and thirty-five officers bought gifts.

Dan Henderson, an investigator with TPD said, "It feels good to do something a little bit different as a police officer, than out at night wearing a uniform. We get to get out, meet some kids, meet some community members. It's a pretty good feeling."

The Children's Home Society provides services such as foster care and child protection. They say the distribution of donated presents to their children will take a few hundred hours to organize and prepare with about half of that time being given by volunteers.
