This is a sad time for family and friends of Cheryl Dunlap during the holidays. Her loved ones are left behind in grief now that they know Cheryl's safe return will never come.

Wednesday night's church service at Dunlap's church provides pause for the friends who will no longer see Cheryl at church, but will remember her for her good deeds.

Brent Thurmond, a long time friend of Cheryl said, "When we had a family member on their death bed and Cheryl went out to visit and Cheryl prayed for them and with them, you know, the world needs more people like that, so we've lost a very valuable member of this community."

For co-workers, their worst fears since the day she did not show up to work have come true. Lesley Sacher, the Director of the FSU Thagard Healthcare Center said, "Our staff is a very close knit staff and we have tried to support each other and keep hope, but today is very heart wrenching, when the news came out."

The body of Cheryl Dunlap will soon lay to rest, but an uneasy feeling sweeps over a community where a killer may still be hiding.

Kimberly Smith, a friend and co-worker of Cheryl said, "I'd like to see that we can all be safe and be ok driving home, whether we have a flat tire or whether or not we have our cars broken down."

And until the killer is found, it will take a long time for many to adjust to some kind of normalcy. The family of Dunlap was too upset to comment on camera, they say they need space to digest it all and they thank everyone for their help.
