Children will get toys donated by the community for Christmas.
There are over 200 guests in the Shelter this evening and it only has 110 beds, but their saying is "never turn anyone away" and somehow they have made accommodations.
Mel Eby, the Shelter executive director said, "A tremendous outpouring of support for the homeless around this time of year and we really appreciate it and the people appreciate it, you know. The kids are getting presents and it's very nice cause they're in such a bad situation, it sort of brightens up their holiday."
Extra sleeping bags and other supplies were available for the Shelter guests tonight, along with a second helping during dinner.
