Tallahassee Police Department Award Ceremony

Officers, citizens, and even a four legged member of Tallahassee's finest were honored Tuesday afternoon. Although they were simply doing their job, they went above and beyond to make Tallahassee a better place for everyone.

Chief Dennis Jones said, "This is what they deal with everyday. We don't deal with the best that society has we deal with some of the worse and whenever they have to deal with that day in and day out, they have to take a pause every now and then. They have to take a break cause that's going through their mind."

The City wants everyone to recognize and congratulate all of these brave men, women and of course canines serving to protect.
