The 423rd girl scout troop in Thomasville worked three straight weekends collecting donations to buy cookies for the soldiers. The troop says they're sending about 31 cases, costing $36 for each case. That adds up to just over a thousand bucks.

Dawn Talbot, the 423rd Brownie Troop Leader said, "We just jumped off with both feet and we started. We didn't know what we were doing. I'm the first year brownie leader, so this was my first time doing it and most of the girls first time, so they did a really good job." Next, the cookies will go to North Carolina to be shipped over seas.
