This weekend hundreds of boat racing enthusiasts and their fans will head to Chattahoochee for the annual power boat race.
Chattahoochee officials say the annual event brings people to the city from all over the country and as far away as Canada.
This weekend festivity is also a boost to the economy.
Chattahoochee City Manager Lee Garner says, "It's a shot in the arm for the local local merchants who will benefit from this and I can't let you go without saying this for five dollars entrance fee there's no entertainment in the world that can beat this."
The boat race will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Apalachicola River in Chattahoochee.
Gates are open at 10 o'clock.
