Many in Tallahassee planned a full night to coincide with the premiere complete with limo ride and dinner. The HBO series went off the air a few years ago leaving many without closure and Friday night they finally have it.

"First of all, I hope they still look fabulous and we hope that Carrie finds her man and lives happily ever after." said Anntoinette Rich, waiting outside AMC at the Tallahassee Mall.

Her friend Kathy was more about the look. She said, "I'm anxious to see the fashions too, what all they have, you know. Cause she gets to keep all her clothes you know. There's like 400 different costume changes for Carrie."

In all, there were almost twenty showings of the movie Friday in Tallahassee alone.
