A new exhibit is now at the Museum of Florida History and it's one pet lovers will really appreciate. Pets in America had a private showing Friday night and it will officially open to the public Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
This exhibit explores pet ownership in America and tells the story of Americans' changing relationship with their pets. The exhibit includes more than 200 objects and photos related to pet keeping.
Sonya White, Executive Director with the Leon County Humane Society said, "It's a national touring exhibit that is only being seen in the southeast in Tallahassee, so it's a really special time."
Statistics show that two-thirds of all American households own a pet. The exhibit will run through August 10th.
