There's nothing more American than having the right to vote. And at Celebrate America in Tallahassee's Tom Brown Park- people were able to register to vote.

The Leon County Supervisor of Elections was out bringing in voters. There was even an opportunity to early vote. Those who were already registered, were able to update all of their personal information. The elections office says it has been open to the public on the Fourth of July for twenty years.

"And what better time to register to vote and make a statement to your family, to the community that you are going to participate and have a meaningful role in the governance of this republic." said Ion Sancho, Leon County Supervisor of Elections

The deadline to register for upcoming primaries in August is July 28th. The supervisor of elections also says October 6th is the deadline to register for the general election.
