On Saturday afternoon Coldstone Creamery in Tallahassee Mall partnered with the United Way of the Big Bend, mixing sweet cravings with charity.
Charee Williams is a campaign associate with the United Way of the Big Bend. "Usually when people come in to buy ice cream its a guilty pleasure but now you don't have to be... I guess guilty about what you're doing because not only are you satisfying your cravings but you're also helping the united way to fund agencies and help those in need in the community."
Fifty percent of the proceeds will go toward the United Way's 2008 campaign that starts up on September 1st and runs until the beginning of February.
Last year the United Way raised 7.2 million dollars to fund local social services.
