Shannon Burton was not only the 2006 Miss Tallahassee, but she is also a president's honor roll, dean's list, and much more. She was raised by a single Mother who was a Marine--making her eligible to receive aid from the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Shannon says she has earned $34,000 dollars from the foundation by applying each year. She is now a senior at Florida State University.

"Because my mom served her country, I'm able to benefit from that and have my tuition paid for and be able to enjoy college because with out this scholarship I wouldn't have been able to do half the things I've done in college." said Burton.

After college, Shannon wants to go on to graduate school to become a physical therapist.

I was in the spotlight on yesterday 7/15/08 at noon. Unfortunately, was out of town at that time and did not see the taping. Can you allow me to see the clip?
