Congratulations to Tallahassee's San Miguel Mexican Restaurant.
San Miguel is nestled in the heart of Tallahassee on the corner of North Monroe and West Tharpe.
So, what puts them on the map as the best Mexican restaurant of the Big Bend?
Some say it's the all day happy hour and authentic cuisine.
Joanne Cavanaugh is a first timer at San Miguel and said, "I absolutely loved it, fresh spinach, the rice is fresh, re-fried beans are delicious, my partners had some sauces, obviously homemade, salsa is great, guacamole we are getting more of."
Just about every table at San Miguel is topped with queso dip, margaritas and Mexican beer. All an indication you get more than just a tasty chimichanga when you visit San Miguel.
The restaurant is draped with historical paintings and artifacts making customers feel like they are eating in the heart of Mexico.
Larry Moses has been a customer for 10 years and he said, "The work on the walls, the paintings, what they do here is neat, it's homemade, a family restaurant."
Derek Jones visits San Miguel to brush up on his Espanol. He said, "They are really nice to talk to in English, but if you start talking in Spanish they get really excited you can talk in Spanish about your friends."
The restaurant has been open for 14 years, it dons a variety of awards, and now owner Felipe Reynosa has one more to be proud of.
Felipe Reynosa said, "I am really happy I have 2006 winner of best Mexican too and now we are winning again with the TV, I am feeling very happy."
And thanks to all your votes, they now hold the title of the Best Mexican Restaurant of the Big Bend.
