40 young scholars at FSU are starting their climb to the top as they graduate from a rewarding summer program. The bright minds have been at FSU since early June exploring the sciences. The group includes three local students. They are Aditi Hota from Rickards High, Rudra Koul also from Rickards High, and Rasheed Zakare-Fagbamila from Lincoln High. Throughout the summer the students worked on several projects for their final presentations.

Dr. Kirby Kemper, who helped create the Young Scholars Program in the 70's, says this summer experience is something the students can take with them for the rest of their lives.

"Our original idea was to show people, the young people, that there was a lot of exciting things going in Florida and even if you left the state, please come back, bring your engineer and science talent back to state of Florida." said Dr. Kemper. Dr. Kemper is also the Vice President of Research at FSU.
