450 hours of education finally yields a reward for a group of Tallahassee Fire Academy graduates. The ceremony at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy Tuesday night included words of inspiration from longtime firefighters. The class of nearly two dozen has endured long days of lecture, real-life fire exercises and intense physical training. Now that they've passed the class, all the students will have to pass the state certification test to become full-fledged firefighters.
