Local Fantasy Fishing Runner Up

Just when you thought fantasy sports couldn't get any bigger--fantasy fishing has become a sensation too. And one local man is in the running for the top prize in the FLW Fantasy Fishing Tour.

Brent Meyer from Crawfordville is one of 15 finalists in the tour who is heading to South Carolina for a final ceremony. There, he could win a one million dollar grand prize. The fantasy fishing league claims this is the first one million dollar prize in on-line fantasy sports. For those who don't win the million, FLW Fantasy Fishing says second place gets a Ranger boat priced at $54,000. Third place will win a Chevy Silverado truck. The other finalists will win prizes such as a $25,000 Walmart gift card and a $20,000 BP gas card. Either way, no one is going home empty handed.
