The City of Quincy is without power. Due to unsafe conditions, crews were called in and will continue repairs at daylight on Saturday morning. East Gadsden High School continues to serve as a host shelter only. West Gadsden High School and the special needs portion of East Gadsden High School are not currently open and are on stand-by status.
The Gadsden County Supervisor of Elections Office, the Havana Public
Library, and the Chattahoochee Public Library will be closed for early
voting on tomorrow, Saturday.
Voting will begin again on Tuesday, August 26 at any of the 25 polling sites throughout the county from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information, please contact the Supervisor of Elections Office at (850) 627-9910.
Residents are strongly encouraged to NOT drive through standing water. National Weather Service advises "Turn Around Don't Drown". Sand bags are available to the public for free at the County Public Works Sand Pit at Post Plant Road tomorrow, Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is a fifteen (15) bag limit.
