A reoccurring problem in a Leon County community has residents fed up, especially with the latest from Fay. Folks on Tung Grove Road say--unless you have four wheel drive--you have to park your car down the road and walk home along the trenches and muddy culverts. Residents say they have called the county for days to fix it and they want it taken care of before something bad happens.
Paul Harrington says he and other neighbors have been trying to get the road paved. However, residents have been told that they have to get the road up to code, which could cost tens of thousands of dollars. That's money residents say they do not have. "If someone's house was to catch on fire, fire trucks couldn't get back here. The neighbor across the street, he has heart conditions and if he needed emergency services, they can't get to him." said Harrington.
The road off of Baum is called Tung Grove Road and residents say it gets destroyed every time it rains for two or three days.
