As Republicans officially welcome John McCain as their presidential candidate--supporters across the nation also sat and watched. Republicans say the house viewing party in Tallahassee was only one of three hundred fifty across Florida. Party members also coupled that with a phone bank to gather more supporters. And they say, the McCain campaign is getting a positive reception.

Dan Abel, with the Leon County Republican Party said, "Wednesday night was a terrific speech by Sarah Palin. She did a fantastic job. She really introduced herself to the world and she did a great job with it and we've got so many people here that are excited tonight, ready to here from John McCain."

After Thursday night's convention, John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin headed to Wisconsin bright and early Friday morning for a campaign event.
