A steady stream of FSU fans signed pledges that they have not and will not use tobacco products. Tobacco Free Florida says 30,000 people in die in Florida each year from smoking, which is why they are constantly campaigning for a healthier Sunshine State.
Hunter Savage, with Tobacco Free Florida said, "The big campaigns and the radio ads, but it's also important to have a real presence in any community if you really want people to take you seriously I think. And we're serious about the message."
Tobacco Free Florida says the average annual money spent in the state on smoking related medical costs is six billion 320 million dollars.
