We've seen the heroic bike ride across the nation--but not quite like this. Despite the challenge of living with Muscular Dystrophy, one man is riding for his own cause all the way from San Francisco.
Jeremy Winkelman and Doctor Stan Bippus stopped in Tallahassee Monday night on their way to Saint Augustine. Winkelman, who is faced with MD, has not only pedaled across the nation, but he had the guts to get back on the bike when he wrecked in April and had to recover from a broken shoulder.
"We're kind of hoping it will be an inspiration to other special needs kids. Maybe parents can look at that and say this kid did that, you know, so you can at least ride 10 miles of 5 miles or something." said Bippus.
Dr. Bippus and Jeremy hope to be in St. Augustine by Friday--bringing a heroic ride for muscular dystrophy to an end. To contribute to the MD cause, just click the convenient link below.
