For a many college students--success is set in stone during those early years. And at FSU, that was much more than a figure of speech Friday, as the University officially dedicated the Albert J. and Judith A. Dunlap Student Success Center.
The two were on hand Friday afternoon to honor the 50-thousand square foot building in their name. The building's sleek, but classic design features a modern interior decor with a traditional red brick exterior and is located on Woodward Avenue adjacent to the Park Avenue Diner. Albert Dunlap has decades of experiences that include commanding a nuclear missile station to leading several corporations as a CEO.
Albert J. Dunlap is a philanthropist and a strong FSU supporter. "We need leaders to take this great great country into the next generation and this is a great place for them to learn the most important thing of all--leadership." said Dunlap.
Albert and Judith Dunlap donated five million dollars for the center's goal to help student's excel. FSU says the center will let students look ahead to make their dreams come to life as they explore careers and get assistance finding jobs. They will also learn what it means to be a true leader in life.
