The Tallahassee Animal Service Center says more than 280 volunteers donated 6,600 hours last year--valued at $100,000. There was a volunteer honorary party featuring the "Sauce Boss" who is known for making gumbo while ripping up some blues on the guitar.

D.M. Gabrielle, a volunteer said, "These homeless animals really need us. They need the community to understand that spaying and neutering is absolutely critical to the population here and that these animals should not be discarded because people weren't responsible."

Last year, the service center says it took in more than ten thousand homeless animals. To find out how you can become a volunteer, just click the convenient link below.

God bless each and every volunteer. You are very special people and I know the animals know this.
