The program is called Minority Enterprise Development and it has been running for 16 years now. Thursday morning, teens worked together on a business plan at the RN Gooden/Nancy Russell Center. But all week long they have been learning about financing a business, establishing a non-profit organization, using technology and more.
Bonita Davis-Paige, a spokesperson for the Minority Enterprise Development Week said, "These are students, some come from Covenant Academy, Rickards High, and Godby High and these students are willing and able to possibly start their own business once they graduate from high school and attend college."
