This year Amanda Byrd and Omari Crawford who are both graduate students at FAMU will take the titles--Miss and Mister Florida A&M University. The ceremony kicked off in classic style at Lee Hall just after 7:00 p.m. Thursday. We caught up with last year's Miss and Mister FAMU to learn more about what this honor means.
Jeremy Mounticure and Sheerie Edwards said, "As Mister and Miss FAMU, we serve as presidential ambassadors for the University, so we travel around the country and the world with President Ammons and other recruiters to recruit students to the University."
The coronation will add to a long agenda of exciting events this week at FAMU--including a Gala honoring Senator Al Lawson Friday night and a much anticipated weekend of football and fun.
