The Sharing Tree is up just in time for the holidays at the Governor's Square Mall. The tree is called the Sharing Tree because each year it is set up by the mall for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is now excepting new gifts as donations for children and families in need.
The Salvation Army says its demand is up this year and they need your help, which why they will be at the mall taking donations until December 20th. Captain Pamela Moretz, with the Salvation Army said, "We're out a little bit early this year to help needy families because we're up 70 percent this year and that's a little scary, so we thought we'd get a couple weeks jump on it."
