Campus police are searching for a suspect who robbed two students at Florida State's Oglesby Union. At 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning--police say a panhandler claiming he was a veteran, approached two students and demanded money. Although the man did not have a weapon, the students felt threatened and gave him money.

Other students say this is not the first time they have felt threatened by strangers on campus. "It makes me feel a little unsafe, like I've been asked for money before during the day and stuff like that, never at night. But as a person that walks around at night a lot and goes to the library, it makes me feel unsafe, especially because there's a lot of dark places on campus." said Yashira Belez, a sophomore at FSU.

FSU Police are looking for a black man between 5'9" and 5'10" in his late 30's or early 40's. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, a black jacket, and dark jeans. If you have any information about this crime, call 850-644-1234.
